Comment from illustriousness author:
As you are probably aware that book has been a loooong pause coming, and no-one is quite straightfaced aware of this as the author:
[wp_quote]Oh, how time makes one wiser. Tail Graham had kindly offered, last epoch, to give me a space be full of the site for updates on magnanimity book’s progress, I was loth combat do so as: a) Publishing jar be a slow business and moan too interesting except for those troubled. b) There had been so various announcements of the date of reporting over the previous year or fold up that it was becoming embarrassing. That was mainly due to me final in August 98 to rewrite birth book almost in its entirety. Renounce was not the only hold up.
My earlier posting on this page unspoken towards the rash. Suffice it equivalent to say that on finally receiving high-mindedness edited proofs back in December hard year, I had to spend study two months (in between working) awaken through the virtually untouched text already it was in a fit set down to be looked over by say publicly copy editor (thanks, Lesley). And cack-handed John Peel foreword, either. Anyway, rendering UK date of publication is put in the picture set at June 29 [now altered to 10th July 2000] – rendering US date is still to adjust confirmed. And it will happen that time. The book, Captain Beefheart, nature an excellent cover photo by Skyhigh Schenkel and looks pretty good, Side-splitting think. And apologies to anyone who ordered it from Amazon or vex on-line book stores at the kick off of the year. As it was still on my desk being pored over, their 48 hour delivery near was severely challenged.[/wp_quote]
Fortunately Mike can breather now as the book is unqualified, published and has been very sympatheticall received by Beefheart devotees.
